There are few different brands out & I was wondering if using an injector cleaner every now & then would be of any use? In other words do they work or do they actually do damage?

Cheers

works out to be abt the same if u fill up with some premo, optimax/vortex.
don't know whether the injector cleaner would do damage, i've used redex and nulon plenty of times no side affects so far.

I brought a EL just recently that idled perfect when I brought it, after a couple of weeks it went to s**t and got worse as time go on. I used injector cleaner a couple of time with no real change. Then switch to Premium (brand doesn't seem to matter to much) and she runs fine. It makes you think twice when pulling into servo and seeing a 8c per litre difference but chances are it wil make the world of difference. I also cleaned my ISC, which was the easier than filling up the car.

injector claner additive can help prevent injectors building up with s**t but once they are dirty the best thing is rip them out and get them cleaned, and new seals and filters.

After 235,000km my injectors were cleaned properly for the first time ever. They were only 7% blocked and the car was still running rich. Just put in some Redline fuel/injector treatment every now and then and your injectors will be right as rain.

7 % thats awsome for a car that old.
remember that cars are tuned to run rich especially when there flogged, thats one of the resons they last so long.
