I doubt it. The guy who was selling me the lifters said he put it as cheap as he could which was 40 per lifter. I never replaced mine, I just pulled the old ones out, cleaned them and then re-soaked them in clean oil. Didn't use retainers and car is still running, just a bit of a b**ch to put the rocker gear back on without the lifters falling out. phong =P~

yeah, I got them through the guy who did my head for me, who just happens to be a good mate, so
I probably got them a bit better than trade price 
By the way, Phong that thing of yours really put down some decent numbers on the dyno, Congratulations on a job well done, sorry bout raggin on you about coolant dumpage and all,,, all in fun

When I did my head/cam last year, it was $270 for all new lifters.

im just about to put a crow cam in my ef falcon. sowhts the best way so that i dont need to re tension the timing chain? any one got a pic of how they did it? cause i really don't want to do that... first cause dont really kno how to?!? lol

When I put my XR6 cam in, I wire tied the chain to the gear, and tied the gear to the open bonnet lid..
I had a broom stick wedged in so the bonnet couldn't move at all, and the cam chain was held very tight.. it didn't move at all. Then I swapped the cam out and in.. and put it back on again before undoing everything.. the cam sprocket didn't move a mm the whole time... |

I did exactly the same as frankieh, worked a treat! I also put zip ties around the gear and chain incase the wire failed. but if its done right then u should have no problems. Started work on it at 6 and finished by 8:30 - 9ish. Pretty easy to do, workshop manual makes life easier too!
