just interested in the automotive laws what happens if someone wires up something else and accidently winds the odometer back or stops it from working what do you do to fix it i found somewhere that when changing any instrument panels because they will have different odometer readings you can legally set the new dash panel to read what the true mileage is on the car is it true or not if you take the old dash panel out and install a new one do you have record the odometer stuff if you set the new one to read the true milege of the car and the old dash panel. also what happens if you put a deluxe dash into a car that has a standard one because it will have diferent odometer readings what are laws on keeping the readings of both the dashes and where would you write the odometer information to in your car. i look foward to your reply
