RACV: $540 p/a with:

lowered, 16", extractors, exhaust, tinted windows, fairmont interior, climate control, cruise control, 5 spd, limited slip, all electric windows, spoiler, dual airbags, stereo, tow pack and the engine is listed as 'modified'. all with agreed value

I told them everything and made sure they posted me all the details.

I also tried CGU and they were cheaper and offered me $2000 more for agreed value, I told them "its not worth that much" and their system wouldn't go lower... anyways I stuck to racv as for CGU were dicey with more than 25mm lowered cars..

Keep in mind if you insure it in your own name you can start building up a no claim bonus and all that.. although I do agree the insurance companies rip you a new one if your a young guy with a modified car.

racv $600/year
18 year old rating 1 :P

insured under our company which has held a rating 1 for like.... 20 years or so, so we have a rating 1 for life policy. and the car is under my name as well as the company's. so if i move onto another insurance company i take the rating 1 with me :D
