Are there any way of modding the intake manifold for the i6 (el) or getting another manifold for my power?

how much power are you talking about?
JMM do/did a ported BBM for somewhere around $800 there is a 6tb manifold for $1500 but you can get 160-170rwkw a BBM no problems - its a pretty damm good manifold

im just wondering for the future. what does BBM mean and do?
also what does 6tb mean? is that the type of manifold. im new to manifolds. dont know much about them. very basic stuff though.

Its called broad band because its really two manifolds. The engine switches between them to make the most power at low and high rpm 6tb is 6 throttle body - one throttle body for each port.

my next car im looking at trying to get over the 180wrkw n/a. just wondering how to get over that. and i reckon the manifold is restricting the car. correct me if im wrong.

Im not sure when it will become a restriction, but you can get some serious power out of the BBM (Ive never heard about anyone changing and gaining anything). I know on my engine its not a restriction at all.

then how come most people cant reach past the 180rwkw? they do almost everything.

Because they are modding a long stroke 6 cyl engine that cant rev. Its hard to make big power numbers with 4.0L displacement when the engine wont go past 6000rpm.

then how can we get the car to make more power?

Sell it and buy a 5L, or forced induction

Why would you want to? Have you been in a 6 with 180rwkw? I talked to some guys that had a customer who wanted a 200rwkw EF. They built the engine and it made 195rwkw. Guy drove it home and parked it in the shed because it was horrible to drive.

by making the crank smaller (the travel distance). wouldnt this increase the revs?

Yes and no. You can reduce the stroke somewhat with an offset grind, but then what rods/pistons are you going to use?

custom rods/pistons? will get to expensive at the end i guess.
i havent be in a car with 180rwkw. how was the car horrible to drive?
