hey guys
im just wonderin if someone can suggest a neater looking alternative to the intake pipe on an ef (pipe from airbox to bbm). Do el's have a better looking pipe, one without the big box looking thing on top of rocker cover? maybe AU? any suggestions would be appreciated. Pics aswell if possible. Thanks

My personal opinion the stock EL's look nice. Rather than the EF whick look like they have mutant bit hanging off

On my ED which is equiped with an EL XR6 engine, I'm running the EF intake pipe, I cut off the big squarey bit above the rocker cover and plated the few little holes with sheet aluminium and bog painted it up in gloss black looks magic. Not sure if its an advantage over the standard EL type but the dyno run will tell me if I wasted my time and energy. I also modded the airbox to take two snorkel pipes using the tickford mouth

Mte if your going to get a different intake pipe why not just get a piece of SS and get it bent to the right specs and paint it, would look better than anything stock IMO.

I want to stay away from a metal intake pipe because of heat soak, want to get as much cold air as possible into engine

P.S. After hard driving my intake pipe doesn't heat up much at all. I would say that it would get no hotter than 40c. Which is 2/10 of f**k all difference with the air coming through it.
