If ya really worried bout heat absorption, use some exhaust heat tape and then wrap in aluminium foil on the intake tubing, this will give ya about 40kw

there is one problem with using heat wrap, it will stop the pipe from heating up to a point..
but after a while heatsoak will still get to the pipe and the heat wrap will hold the heat in the pipe for longer..

i dont know about 40kw  you would be lucky to get 40kw from a cam let alone a intake. ..maybe 4 kw if your lucky..

Yeh true but what also helps is the fact that my new mobile is groovy

As far as the air intake goes by the original poster, don't worry bout heat soak cos in reality it wont do much. Doesn't matter if aluminum or steel, once warm will stay warm but since the Cai is breathing in cold to cool air and even if the intake was warm, the air is traveling too fast to warm up

yeah, i sort of thought that. just didn't have a computer for a few days so i couldn't pipe up lol

but i might just go buy some foil right now and make up some heat wrap, and also a tinfoil hat whilst i'm at it?
