Looking to geta bigger intake pipes then the stock EF one, jsut wondering three things:

1) Is Mandrel bent available at any exhaust shop, if so how much?

2) Can anyone post up pics of an AU intake piping? believe it bolts straight in but I might be wrong.

3) Would EF/EL/AU XR intake pipes make any difference at all over a stock one?

i have a ef .. and i think im just going to get the EL intake piping. but if youve read a few threads on this the EF piping is the most restrictive, with pople going for the mandrel bent pipe.
it depends on how much ur willing to pay really, and depends on highly modified ur car is.

JMM say's the EF Falcon's divided passage induction pipe between the airbox and throttle gives more power than the larger, single-bore pipe used on the EL and AU. http://www.jimmockmotorsport.com/articl ... rt_two.php .Interesting article.

what wagondad said..
this is a cut and paste from that artcle posted...

"Contrary to popular opinion, J.M.M. says the EF Falcon's divided passage induction pipe between the airbox and throttle gives more power than the larger, single-bore pipe used on the EL and AU. A fabricated 3 inch mandrel pipe is necessary only for engines making more than 140kW at the rear wheels."

yet some members on here have a done comparison at a dyno day proving the EL one to make more power..

from what i haev seen on dynos and flow benches. the EF air box out flows all the others. and EL pipe work made more power.

so what i did was use both. EF air box with 3 inch pipe from box to the flex join on the EL pipes
