mate of mine reckons its the BEM, thats what it was with his.. hmm well maybe.

no joke, there is a little switch near the headlight switch which adjusts the brightness of the cluster bulbs and also can turn on the interior light

Yea. All the way up is interior light on.
One down is brighter cluster, bottom one is dimmed.

nah guys, i meant is that a joke as in yeah ive tried to turn it off lolz.. nah wont go off, but like i said my mate reckons its the BEM, i was wondering if anyone knows what else could cause it?

I dont supose you have checked all the door switches??? just in case

yeah i have, well went around pushing em in and out and wiggling them, mates probably right, well same thing happened to him, replacing the BEM fixed it.. and a couple of other niggling issues.

the BEM controls the lights turning on and off if the door light buttons dont work that means the light wont turn on when u open a door with a broken door light button so cant be that but i still cleaned mine when i got the car as sometimes they didnt work

ive had the same problem its the BEM

make sure to get a EF bem as EL bems wont work different plugs and different look all together

some people say broken headlight switches can make it turn on and stay on but it would be rare as all hell those switches are tough

the BEM controls pretty much everything except the motor its even ur car immobiliser so if u have something that doesnt work occasionally like radio etc the BEM most likely would also be at fault

replace the BEM m8 its simple and easy to do and even if its not the BEM its common for them to break so never hurts to have a working spare as they can be hard to get at times
