In this shape we got the “Gli - Outback” and “Ranchero -XR6” versions as I understand.
Australian versions (except XR6/8's) were called 'Longreach' , with decals on the tailgate.
From memory, the SA exports have a slightly different Body Electric Module (BEM) - the Australian 'Smartlock' engine immobiliser is still there, SA models also have a CONLOG alarm.

Just for interest - leave a door open. Does the overhead interior light go out after 5mins ???

Yea it does, I was so confused, I stood in the dark just staring at it wondering if it was broken! It does eventually go off. Why what does this mean?

Sorry, it goes off in under 5min. It slowly dims down / fades until completely off.

Can any of you guys offer advice on alloy wheel sizing?

I have noticed the rim's on the van sit extreamly close to the shock absorber and the top of tyre about 1cm from the spring mount.

I put on a set of 235/60/15 BFgoodridge Radial T/A but they rubbed, so running 225/60/15 with about 1cm to spare!

But I see a lot of Australian UTE's/Falcons like mine running 16", 17'' if not bigger sizes?

What offset wheels are any of you guys using?
How have you overcome the proximity to the shock/mount?

I want to put on a set of 15'' 8J or 10J, but as I understand I need a negative offset to get the rim sticking out away from the shock/mount.

Thanks.

No...they were only on the back....for traction purposes...... 8-) .....even let down to 18 psi, the little 250 would still light them up in 2nd......2.92 LSD, 4sp single rail.
