wtf??? start of with a elxr6 manual. with 2k youl eaisly drop into the 14's. there have been several people drop into the 13's. for a na "6" you cant go wrong.
and in terms mods. you spend the same amount on a e-series 6 and 8. im sure the 6 will ALWAYS come out ahead

lol are u joking man?
f**k sake u make me pull out dyno printouts now.

this one was taken on the bpt dyno day a while back.
Image
this is the third time out of three dyno comps the ea took out highest place 6.
Its impossible to get that much power without a polished cam, double vavle seats a massivly proted head (120thou)and strengthened shims in the lifters.

2k for those figures? pft. cost me at least 4 times that.. u tell me how thats not a waste of money??
stick to fag drag mate its cheaper and easier.

your car would've been stock with about 110rwkw considering it was manual. that means 20rwkw cost you 8k????? hahaha
and your car stopd making torque at 4800???? a stock i6 should keep going to 5000. yours which had a fair bit of mods to it should have gone all the way till redline easily

8k for 20rwkw??? clearly that is a waste of money. something MUST be wrong with the car. i dont see a motor with that much spent on it running those figures

A ef/el at the drags last night needed 180 rwkw and a shot of nitrous to get in the 13's...

Was an awesome sight to say the least, but the coin used in that car was phenomenal too, It is like flogging a dead horse to an extent, unless you have a huffer on the side.

Still A big carb and cam Xflow will get close...

get a life guys.... i was the one that asked if mid 14 was possible... clearly it is.

also, there are several 6cyl motors that put out around 200kw now.. like the XT 6, Toyota aurion 6 and so on.. those figures are higher than V8's from just a few years back... obviously modern tech makes a difference and having only 2 valves per cyl is the biggest thing holding back the EA-AU 6. According to a site I just read.. the AU XR6 VCT put out 172kW/374Nm from the factory and did the quarter in the 15's...

no need to get into hissy fits... I have a worked 351 clevo in my shed that produced a decent wad of power, but it did so by pissing massive amounts of unburnt fuel out the pipes due to high overlap on the cam.

4lt is a good number to play with.. I don't actually want a 13 second monster, but 14.5 would be nice.
If I have to get a AU VCT motor and a 4.11 diff.. so be it..

eed-250 is right though.. I had big plans for my XT and gave up pretty quickly.. rather then pour money into it for little result I just went and bought the turbo instead.
