Hi everyone i know this question has probably been asked multiple times but i cant find a definite answer.
Just wanted to know if a 100 CPFi Vemom high flow cat is legal in South Australia as i just fitted one to 6 cylinder ED Fairmont but don't want to use it if its illegal.

If anyone has any information please let me know
Thanks

100cpi won't get you past emissions test.

Its a grey area.
As far as EPA goes , no its not legal and wont pass an emissions test.
Mind you an ED nowdays wouldn't pass an emissions test in bog stock form anyway.
As far as the rules go for you to get defected , all the rules say is you have to have a functioning cat fitted.
Your cat is fitted and functioning.
Ive never had any issues running 100 cells.

I wouldn't panic about it, not like the epa is going to hunt you down..

If i saw a 100 cpi on someones car at work I wouldn't pass it simple as that and i have done so in the past and only if its marked 100cpi on the cat
They are illegal to run here in SA full stop....But only if you get caught
Also keep in mind there is a possibility of an EPA fine as well the safe limit is 200CPI and up
If you intend on running 100cpi i suggest make sure there are no markings on the cat AT ALL I've seen fools with those cheap ebay 100cpi cats that are marked on the cat its self

More simple solution. Don't drive in the weekend hot spots or drive silly.

Can you provide further info on the legal limit of 200CPI. Where does this information come from? I'm in Qld and thinking of a new exhaust for my AU2 I6 including extractors and the cat. Like the OP I'd like to stay within the law too but everything I've read so far and what I've been told everyone says go for a 100CPI cat. Where do you get this info from regarding what's legal and what's not?
