yep you need the AU rocker gear to put an AU cam in. Be careful with getting an EL camshaft as well, they can be EL Hybrid (They have AU heads and are coded 96DA)

Get the head serviced, get a 2nd hand standard cam, re grind it to something like a wade mix grind cam and then a j3 and then it's better then xr6

ok then a j3 is a definite once new motor goes in. seriously thinking about a grind would be good to get a lumpy idle she sounds good now as is. thanks again for all the help guys
