Hey Krytox, what kind of rubber do you use? Is it like a block of rubber or just sheet rubber?

I've been using hardwood on the jack for years with no problems, but like the idea of using rubber, like you said, it doesn't slip.

When I cbfd going to the workshop and moving cars out I jack the front up, put it on car stands on the blocks just in from the sil jack points.
Then I losen the sump plug and take my jack around to the a** end and jack it up till the car is level the drain the oil.

The first time I did my oil and filter in the eb some one had done the filter up so tight I had to get a coldchisel and hammer and chisel it off.

You only need to go 2/3 turn after the rubber Oring is touching the metal. Easily done by hand.
