Jeez some of you are comparing the supra to a family car and then want the thing to run 12's seriously go get a supra or some kind of rice to be fully hectik

i was comparing it to a supra because my mates with cars like that say fast and then my ford mates say fast and there two different things. i wasnt knockign falcons i was asking a question.

and supras weight is around 1600kg so there not light. a turbo falcon could easily keep up with one.

Have your mates actually run 12s themselves are they just talking s**t?
It's all well and good to see a supra run 12s and they say " I have a supra, it runs 12s" But yes, a XR6T can be made to run 12s fairly cheaply.

Anyway this is a bit off topic...

na supras arn't quick at all, a stock one is no quicker than a stock falcon, past around the 70 makr there actually slower.

the dual manifolds look they come of an older car - probably just because i see similar set ups on old kingswoods and escorts, etc. at the race track. how come the air box and snorkel are stil there but not connected?

The twin filter set up is only new, he previously had the two throttle bodies enclosed in a box with air ducted in via the airbox.

Hey mark,

Can we get some more info on the twin t/b setup???
Like pricing, expected power gains, if there is anything else that has to be done to make it run properly?
Also is the one in the pic the actual setup that your selling???
Just wanted to know about the filter options and stuff,as hyena said you used to have both t/b's ducted to the air box and now you just have 2 airfilters. Wouldnt having the engine sucking hot air make you lose power? or does it actually work better?

Just so you know I have an EL fairmont auto, its stock atm except a cat back 2.5inch mandrel bent exhaust with 1 lukey straight through muffler and dropped at the diff.

And mark im looking at changing my diff gears soon, I think they are 3.07 or 3.08 one of the 2 but its a single wheeler!

I want a set of 3:9s with either a shimmed up lsd or a mini spool.
My previous 2 cars both had mini spools and I liked them- XH ute+xb coupe.

Anyway just wanted to know if you could do the diff for me and if so what will it cost and also what do I do about getting the speedo to read correctly?

With that setup thou wouldnt it be kind of ineffcient? as it seems to be sitting in an area where hot can be sucked in just as much as cold air?

Or is there some way around this?

Im not questioning thier techniques im just a little curious thats all.

It must if his car has pulled 184rwkw and regularly pulls 170+ you gotta think that when the car is moving a fair amount of air is being shoved towards the filters from the airbox.
