Sorry for another posting about camshafts but i have a few questions.

ive got a 95 EF XR6 auto with Dual Fuel, but use majority Gas. I just put on a Redback 2.5" Straight Through Exhaust, with a Hi Flow Cat and Hi Tech Extractors, and decided that its time to upgrade the camshaft as well.

I am looking at the JMM DEV3HL Cam, but im not sure if it would be suited to my car as its dual fuel.. My questions are:
1. would i need to upgrade my computer as well?
2. how bad will idle become
3. im looking for power range all the way through but mainly at the top end becuase currently its good off the line but doesnt get much pull at high revs.
Im looking at between 1,000 to 1,500 fitted and tuned... are there any other alternatives..
any info will be great.. thanks guys

I've got a DEV3HL cam in mine. I have a 5 speed and she stalls every now and then, but other than that, the kit gave it a pretty good power and torque gain. I'm pretty sure I've heard somewhere that they don't recommend putting them into auto equipped Falcons. You may want to look into that....

I've got the 3HL in my auto 6 (although it an AU)
I had a rough idle to begin with but reset computer and base idle and no probs now.
downinfj, if you's is stalling, then something is wrong, reset or get it dial in again. There should be no probs with a 3HL.
Make your own mark at TDC (at the original mark isn't always correct) before dialing in. I had lotsa top end and no bottom end. Redialed the cam with real tdc marked and got increase all across the rev range

herrod can't be stuffed doing anything to support e series falcons.. let alone I6's..

get intouch with the guys at ALTED they are doing some interesting things with cams..

I don't know of any unhappy customers yet.

If they can't help they can direct you somewhere that can. most people will simply say no, but these guys take the time to help even if they send you somewhere else.

so far I haven't seen any feedbacks from the big fellows.

I'll go we the guys that min-go's with the client.{fax, phone, email & of course, the forum. I think they're called "all performance" or "alted"?

client support is the key I surpose.

$1000 to supply a cam, springs and gear.

you have got to be joking. that is the bigest rip off.

springs $130 at the most cam gear $180 even with the stupid cost of jmm cams at $560 that still only $870

I do full RPD (Alted) cam kits for e series falcons starting @ $370 for a stg 1 with springs right up to $630 for cam springs and vernier gear for the stg 3. I use Crow Cams springs for the BIG stuff due to thier NEVER FAIL reputation. You pay a bit more for them but its the peice of mind that your paying for. JMM makes me look cheap, I might have to put my prices up I think,
