Without a good head the cam will not work at its best.It has to be a marriage for the best of both worlds.

Well as is my 'freaky' engine is putting out the same as an ITS stage 2, I need something that will expand on what its got at the moment without stepping it back down the scale.

As for different cam specs I have no idea what im looking at/for or what each will do for me.
Just something that will give it a deeper note and a nice power gain, bit more accel would be nice :)

I will have to talk to mark @ ITS when I get a chance, see what we can work out :)

I'd be surprised if you have any luck getting in touch with Mark @ ITS.
It looks to me like he's no longer in business.

Cheers

Just spoke with Mark. He IS still in the business. His internet and phone lines are down at the moment. You can contact him on his mobile number.

i have a question, i'm thinking of doing a few mods:
question 1, how much does a port n polish cost?
" 2, how much do triple valve springs cost, where do i get them, are they easy to install?
" 3, how much are over sized priced at, where do i get them are they easy to install?
" 4, when i get the port n polish can i get them to machine the bottom so i get higher compression, how much should i get?
" 5, whats a good cam for that set up.

also whats adjustable vernia timming? and what other performance mods can be done along those lines. thanks for your help

I can't vouch for Wade's new profiles but I had a 1004-112 and it was a good cam. Had to bump up the idle a bit to get it to behave, and had good top end power increase over standard.

Just recently I've put in an ALTED Stage 1 cam. Top end power is similar but the car will idle happily and perfectly from a cold start even without the ISC, and at around 500rpm if I want it too. Bottom end and midrange torque is improved. I'd recommend one of these.

When the ALTED stage 2 is ready, I'd say it should have very impressive power. I can't wait to try one.

i'm not terribly impressed with my WADE 1636 that i threw in a couple of weeks ago. i shimmed it an extra 1.9mm coz of the grind lift and yeah, run an EL XR6 ECU with broadband manifold on my XH with 2.5 inch mandrel exhaust and yeah, not that impressed with the gains it doesnt have.

whats an ALTED stg1 worth anyone know?

you're not the only one who is not impressed with the wade cams.
my car LOST POWER with a wade cam.

deffinatly go the with an alted cam. from what i have seen they have the best bang for your buck and dont seem to suffer from idle problems the others do.

I've heard there is a cam in the works that should prove to be very interesting.
