I done it once, it was hard but what i used was a lot of grease and a piece of dow the diameter of the inside bearing, fill the spigot bearing with grease then use the dow with hammer pushing the grease in behind the bearing, after a while the bearing will press out with the preasure of the grease, but you need to keep filling with grease to get the preasure.

Good luck.

Hey thanks guys.
Ive tried everything to get this bearing out i tied a bit of chain to a bolt and was trying to hook the head of the bolt around the back of the bearing and in a slide hammer fashion kind of rock it out. I havent tried the greace idea but if it works will have to be the most ingenious thing ive heard. Wow no wonder my brother was always on this site while supposed to be doing the dishes!!! lol

One other thing my brother used to work as a marine mechanic for bayside marine...yer well i have just been offered an apprenticeship there by his old boss. I cant help but feel that i am continuing on his life. Its amazingly humbling hey...

Anyway cheers for all the help people :)

By the way, the way i did it:
1. pack the back and inside the spiggot bearing with greace
2. use an 11mm socket on a quarter drive extension
3.Fill up socket with greace
4. Fit socket and extension snugly into the middle of the spiggot bearing
5. use a ruber mallet to give the end of the extension a quick smack
6. repack with greace
7. repeat steps 5 and 6 until it comes out.

Believe it or not, it works extremely well and was done in well under 2minutes

I have to ask mate, but is this for real?

We've had 1 member fake his own death on here and it wasn't funny, that is why i have to question it.

From the day you say your brother died you've been posting all week like nothing was wrong, then announced it almost 1 week later.

If he did pass then i feel for your loss mate, i really hope this isn't one of his mates screwing around because it's not something to joke about.

Im sorry if it seems like that Walker! i started this topic becuase i needed some help and i thought i may as well fill you in with wat happened incase anyone new him and some ppl had! As for posting and acting like nothing happened.. let me ask you something...have you eva lost a best friend? not only did i lose my best friend i lost my brother. Ive had to deal with the pain of seeing my grandparents balling their eyes out as there favourite grandson was laid to rest. ive had to spend countless nights where i couldnt hear myself crying over the sound coming from my parents room, i cant look at my sister or my other brother for fear i may see a glimpse of him.... I act like nothing happened becuase i dont want it to have happened. I talk to him throughout the day, i think of him every second. If i can get on here and pretend that nothing is wrong or happened then that gives me some sick amount of peace. Please dont think im faking. I could not be so cruel to make up or 'joke' about my brothers death. Please understand

I feel for your loss mate and it's great to see you carying on what he started.
But I (among many) was sucked in by the thread walker is talking about so I understand where he is coming from too. Personally I'd like to see you come up with your own account and then perhaps put something in your sig in regards to your brother.
Anyway I sincerely feel for you and you'll have to take my word for it: It does get better.
RIP
