By not abusing it. Even a worn single rail will be fine if you drive like a grandma.

But he's got dyno results and everything, lol
doesnt that mean that he would have had to have 'given it a bit' a sometime?
and seeing that he's after another 100rwkw, on top of 400rkwk, he must know what that power feels like?

You don't drop the clutch when you are on the dyno. But his box may be on its last legs after one dyno pull cause things do get pretty stressing even on the dyno.

T5 will take that...From memory one of the Commodore's at Summernats run 1200+ rwkw ....They don't suck the power like bigger box's ..TKO's etc...
Power comes on gently on dyno's plus the power curve turbo's have is alittle gentler than blowers or n/a to a point...
Having said that they will eventually break longterm!!!

Bought the latest street machine JETXR in there as well this is what he has to say about t5's

like many owners of high performance manually shifted cars, tony has had his fair share of gearbox woes

"ive busted 3 boxes in 3 weeks. im using the t5 box and theres no real way of strengthening it without spending big money on custom parts.i love the manuel shift but its no fun breaking parts ,not to mention hurting the bank account,so im looking at an auto: a c series tranny or a powerglide perhaps"
