Maybe in the AU Spec it doesnt cause chain rattle. But in Ea-EL they cause bad timing chain rattle.

Hopefully you dont get the chain rattle in the EL hybrid Head. Pretty sure its similar specs to the AU engine

Hybrid head is an AU head without the AU numbers cast onto it....

I hadn't read that before, very interesting. I had a DEV 4 cam in my EF XR6, and found it produced great power right through the rev range with just the standard tickford head.

There was a nice bloke at dyno day (didn't catch his name however he had "f**k off" tattoed on his fingers). However he was using a jmm cam and got a very nice power figure from it, better than what people have been getting from crow and others.

Those prices are very OLD!

The complete dev 5 pack is worth $5790 currently.

I like the DEV3HL pack- 146 rwkw- $2990

DEV "Street-Fighter" Headers (Extractors), Modified Cat, 2.5" Hi-Performance mandrel bent exhaust system, Hi-Flow Intake Kit, DEV3+ High Lift Cam kit, Special Valve Springs, Valve train modifications, Vernier adjustable Timing Gear, Special Spark Plugs & Ignition Leads. Maximum Street Performance without cylinder head change. **

so close to 190ish flywheel kilowats without touching the head for a tick under 3 grand? pretty awesome I reckon.

Only problem is I have an AU which wont like the cam mods, so it will need a chip of some description. while this will make for even better power, it will up the cost somewhat.

but does that include the labour to install ?

paceys and 2.5" exhaust - $700
XR8 intake - $25
Timing Advanced - $0
= 127.8 rwkw (total spent: $725)

Decent Cam/Vernier Gear (say 15rwkw) = $450
= 142.8rwkw (total spent: $1175)

Non Jim-Mock
142.8rwkw for $1775
(** 160rwkw on JMM's dyno)

Jim Mock
146.0rwkw for $2990

Hmmmmmmmmm........
3.2rwkw for $1215 ??
