[quote="arm79"]Denim... Seriously, a few well placed full stops and some reasonably constructed paragraphs would make your story much more easier to read.

Looking at your posts, it seems you are angry with everyone under the sun, and making heads or tails from what you have posted is making things quite difficult.

Either way, I would like to see where JMM advertises billet cams. Please show us.[/quot

Mate with all due respect Im not here for spell checks an such, my commas are in place....and Im not here to be screened by you or anyone else if an whether what Im saying is true.. AND.. Im NOT some 15 to 25 year old.. with an attitude an out to cause s**t on someone if they dont deserve it... and ALSO... Im not having it out with everyone under the sun... :D .... BUT.. I AM upset with the people involved, and I DO have every reason to be so... specially when we discuss a new cam installed... instead of a regrind, its why I said, get EVERYTHING on paper.. or else.. one doesnt have a leg to stand on... 2 years ago prior to having the work done Billet cams were discussed with him.. and agreed on having one installed, Im not gonna go into it with anyone now, cause its just not worth it.. its like you having a genuine beef with someone an I come along, not having seen the problem and start to question you and your right to feel the way you do.. now.. ALL Im saying is.. BE CAREFUL.... IF his billets or regrinds arent advertised no more... I dont know... simply because I had the work done, and no further interest in keeping up with whats going on, in his website...

well for the fact that $490 is the price of a regrind, maybe you did ask about a billet and he said yes we can supply, and you just thought for the prise it was ment to be a billet. non of this beware s**t every one i have ever talked to all no his cams are regrinds and thats that i would not want to think of the price for his cams billet

My thoughts exactly, that is truly a rip off if its for a regrind...

I paid way less than that for a custom grind billet from Crow.

Well looks like it is a case of he said she said. So how about not in fighting any more and let it rest? Obviously demin thought that he was getting a billet and he did not. From what I see in his posts that is the ONLY problem he had with JMM. As far as the rocker goes I would be going back to the other place mentioned and asking WTF? They must have either senn or done it if they had the cover off at some stage.

Cam.

interesting....

i'm using a cam that was thought up by someone who at the time was only doing it for a fun. runs fine on stock ECU gets better economy and make plenty of power. and all for the $120 it cost me. and imagine a regrind with no lifter noise

That article is about the dev 4. Every horror story Ive ever read about JMM cams includes the dev 4.

never heard a bad word about the dev3/hl or the dev 5, regrind or no.

I had a dev 4 cam in my ED 2 years ago and ran a 14.2 second 1/4 mile in full street trim and 225 street tyres.

I can't believe how many people jump on the flame JMM band wagon.

In response to Denim's orginal post I'm not sure why JMM would have offered you a billet cam for $500, I'm thinking a slip of the toungue or misunderstanding??

I've just come across this thread and now i'm seriously worried.
I've got this awful noise when the car is at normal operating temp.
And yes i've got the dev3 hl cam installed.
I took it to jmm and they said it was the timing chain and that nothing could be done about it. "it's just one of those things that happens in 1 out of every 10 or so falcon engines"
F@#k!
