Thanks for all the help guys, everything seems to be settled in now, is making a lot better power and is a bit lumpier, but on the bad hand i just got 97km from the first quarter of my 70 something litre tank!

You're enjoying it a little TOO much
On a serious note - bugger! - My cam always runs better fuel economy for normal driving. Pushing it harder always uses more of course. I've just realised that driving this cam lightly is much the same result as flogging the std cam pretty hard - so claims of better fuel economy might be a bit... "subjective". I've never worked it out on a km per L or km per tankful basis

Good luck with it buddy.
Just like to say where i got my car dynoed he told me he had a ef falcon with a JMM DEV 5 KIT. JMM claim 160- 175 rwkw (something like that). The car on his dyno made only 145 rwkw & less torque than my car. He told me that the guy was DEVistated. Have you seen JMM dyno ? It's something made in BC. Please let us know how it goes & if possible some dyno fig.

I like what I'm hearing about Wade cams - they weren't doing I6 cams yet when I got my JMM one...
I've been waiting for their billets to arrive. And to be clear, the OP made it clear he already had bought his Dev4 cam - so i provided info as best i could on that basis. If he had said he was LOOKING at getting a Dev4 I would have suggested trying a Wade cam instead as the feedback on them is good and they're cheaper...

Don't know about the JMM specifically, but my factory convertor is modified to stall at 2900rpm and it really jumps off the line, even with stock 3.45 diff gears. On the dyno, it will probably show a LOSS of power, as there is a bit more slip in the convertor.

I've never heard of a car going slower with a high stall. The little bit of extra drivetrain loss is more than compensated by hitting the powerband instantly and staying there. My high-stall is worth probably two car-lengths off the line, and first gear is over in a hurry. I don't stall it up (lights up the tyres), just mash it and it goes straight to nearly 3000rpm - no wheelspin, no drama, just a chirp, then haul. It doesn't feel any weaker at top end at all, but they say to expect the dyno to show a slight drop - not an issue in the real world.
