I know the title looks kind of attractive, but I don't have dyno results. Does anyone know what change there is in the torque curve of an I6 just by adding JMM scavenger headers coupled with a 2 1/2 inch system. Leave the Cat standard, as I believe it doesn't account for much overall restriction at all. Restriction is only an issue when there's a lot of length of small-diameter pipe involved. In cases where it's just the cat that is 2.25", then restriction isn't an issue; it just flows through at higher speed.

Anyway, getting off topic. Anyone know where the gains are and how much is the area under the graph improved? I guess bottom-end torque would be good considering the auto.

if you put a set of pacemaker extractors on and a high flow cat, the ford will keep up with a set of JMM extractors. only 2rwkw difference between the 4499's pacemakers and the JMM's. The JMM"S do have smaller primary pipes so give more down low but the pacemaker spegetti 4480's would just be as good......(they have smaller primary pipes)

The 4499's were developed intially for towing purposes, good top end power and torque, eg towing caravans and boats etc...........

I would go the pacemaker ph4480. The pacemaker ph4499 when fitted with a K&N filter narrows it down to 0.1 rwkw difference on the JMM. The tune of your car combined with other mods is the real gain running on the same dyno.

I have 4480s.they have good top end power but u lose a little bottom end.BUT...4480s really come into there own when you add more mods eg: fuel and air so if u plan to do a bit more to your falcon id go the pacie 4480s.

Agreed. I lost a bit of low down power when I fitted my PH4480's, but got a s**t load back when I put my RPD cam in! :)

Yep, I probably should of waited for the stage 2.. but I wouldn't be able to sleep at night, knowing I could of had a stage 3.

Since my car isn't a daily driver, the stage 3 suites me fine :)

Ultimately then, it comes down to what you can get hold of for significantly cheaper, between Pacies and JMM headers. 2RWKW isn't much different.

I can't go the 4480's (expensive by the way!) since it will get tangled up with my gas converter. I think the 4499's sound pretty good. Time to put a bit of money aside.

I've have the PH4499 & redback system on a totally stock AU VCT ghia & it pulls hard up top. Plus another Au fairmont with the JMM headers & Dev cam kit only pulled 0.1 RWKW more than mine.

Now now children, dyno results can't be trusted. Unless it was on the same dyno on the same day.. :)

i have pacemaker comps and a wade cam in my car, combined with 3.73:1 diff gearing, it pulls like a school kid all across the rev range.... but i had to wait for the cam and diff gears before it would do that. lost a bit of go down low with fitment of the comps b4 the cam.
