So I got 145kw at the firewall. How much is being released to my pair of deadly wide Bridgestone tyres?

ummm no! 145kw is at the flywheel not firewall! drivetrain loss is crudely accepted as being around 30%. rwkw for eb at a guess somewhere between 85 and 105.

Tyres have to be the same size on each axle and not smaller on the rear if it is a rear wheel drive. So yes they can be wider on the rear compared to the front. Now back to Kw. Lol.

fly wheel is right behinf the motor, and a good measure is 30% loss.
tyres can be differant widths, 205's on front and 255's on back is legal, but a 205 on the left rear and a 255 on the right rear isnt. neway two differant size tyres on the back will play havok with you diff. as for legal mods, cold air (snorkle, panel/pod filter), exhaust (extractors, cat, 2.5" pipe), then real money has to be spent ie cam packages, headwork and so on. |
