ok i went for a good spin out the road 2 day but it seams to me as it's leaning out i mean it hammers and all but the top end dont feel right maybe i should drop in a xr6 fule reg and give that a go i need more grunt or i'm never ganna crack the low 15s some thing is not right any ideas?????

I blew my EF Tikford intake apart (on gas). It had crap top end with that intake. While working out what I was going to replace it with I drove it with on intake or ring. It had top end. Put an AU intake (new at $90) with ring and still had most of that top end.

yeah but i did this with the ring out and it feels as it not pulling that well in the top end

with the mods your dun, you'd be looking at high 1's wouldn't ya? sounds like a good tune would fix everything up.

Nik, i posted in other thread.
Lose your XR ECU, put the stock one back. I had the EXACT same thing when i was runnig an XR ECU in my ed with the rspec3!!!

Do a blocky without the intake and see how much topend you gain.

well i guess one thing to consider is if your running an XR6 ECU that's got a factory tune based on running a higher pressure fuel regulator and your still running the lower pressure fuel regulator it may be getting confused.
I'd a. refit a stock ECU and at least 'test' that, b. get a hold of a Tickford sepc fuel pressure regulator and see how that goes. |
