ok i went for a good spin out the road 2 day but it seams to me as it's leaning out i mean it hammers and all but the top end dont feel right maybe i should drop in a xr6 fule reg and give that a go i need more grunt or i'm never ganna crack the low 15s some thing is not right any ideas?????

I blew my EF Tikford intake apart (on gas). It had crap top end with that intake. While working out what I was going to replace it with I drove it with on intake or ring. It had top end. Put an AU intake (new at $90) with ring and still had most of that top end.

yeah but i did this with the ring out and it feels as it not pulling that well in the top end

Nik, i posted in other thread.
Lose your XR ECU, put the stock one back.
I had the EXACT same thing when i was runnig an XR ECU in my ed with the rspec3!!!

Do a blocky without the intake and see how much topend you gain.

well i guess one thing to consider is if your running an XR6 ECU that's got a factory tune based on running a higher pressure fuel regulator and your still running the lower pressure fuel regulator it may be getting confused.
I'd a. refit a stock ECU and at least 'test' that, b. get a hold of a Tickford sepc fuel pressure regulator and see how that goes.
