I got told that the eb power steering pumps were now obsolete from ford. Instead, the told me to get the XF ( I think) power steering pump, and bolt thta up instead. It sits on an angle, but it wont affect the operation of the pump. Cost me 99 dollars brand new from ford. Youll need to get the xf pulley as well, for about 30 dollars i think, and put that on. The outlet hoses on the rear are a little different, and the low pressure return hose will be closer to the headers/extractors, but i just used a bit of tin to act as a heat shield. Can get you photos if you need. Just give me a pm or something

You can get exchange/reconditioned PS pumps for EA-AU for under $150 usually.

ford quoted me 99 for the eb pumps new if they could get one! They told me they were obsolete, but they may not have looked terribly hard. Go get some prices from ford

How hard is it to overhaul the pump yourself? I looked in the gregorys manual, but it says that it is fairly hard, but it does contain a broken down view of the pump itself. is it really that hard?

my hayes manual talks about two diferent types of pump - saginaw or ford CII
Dunno what the diference is, but if it isn't a ford standard part, then surely their would be a rebuild kit for them.
