Trick I saw years ago (dunno if it will work on your car tho) is to get half a tennis ball and put it over the keyhole on the door. Then hit it real hard. If the plastic etc is still sealing inside the door itself the airpressure can (CAN) pop the door lock up. Dunno if it will work on a falcon tho. Otherwise call the RACV or RAA or whoever does breakdowns in NSW

call up the NRMA they might be able to get into the car. if that fails, you will have to get a new key. take all your details to Ford, and they should give you the type of key you need, then go to a locksmit with that info and they will make one up for you!

Yeah, NRMA guys usually have a set of slim-jims in their trucks. I'll call them if I cant find my steel rulers That Tennis-ball trick sounds a bit far fetched, I dont think the ball will seal around the moulded door handles. Interesting though |

Tennis ball works on x series cars. But the dust seal has to be in good nick or the air pressure doesn't pop the lock. And I doubt there are too many x series falcons out there with good dust seals. Never seen anyone do it with an e series falcon or commonwhores after the VN

I wish there was a way to trigger the boot release solenoid externally. Its not urgent as we have a second car to use, just inconvenient. We have NRMA roadside cover still, I hope that it covers home garages and is not named literally. Thankyou all for the fast responses :) |
