:? dont know whats going on. on my el futura i seem to be having a problem with power loss when she is cold, it starts all fine and dandy but then when u go to take off it feels like it is not getting the right amount of fuel and is struggling to go but then all of a sudden she jumps to life and off and away.. its still a bit noticeable when hot but mainly the issue is when its cold, i have been told it could be a sensor issue or an injector issue??? can anyone help me or give me some advice on how to troubleshoot the problem or at least find a solution :)

Is the BBM butterflies switching at 3800rpm or is i stuck on long runners. Get the engine to operating temp and rev the engine via the throttle body lever above 3800rpm and you should see the actuator move to enable short runners. The actuator is at the front of the broadband manifold.

Well my EL does that too...initially it'll struggle to get to 2000RPM and then suddenly it will kick in...but will drive normal until normal temps. Once normal temp I get a kick at 2300...which is probably because of my cam, but can't understand why it struggles in the morning.

Only thing that I haven't changed is the dizzy and pump, might need to get a new pump, or see if the internal filter has hit the s**t.

phong =P~

if car is properly serviced i,e leads dizzy,filters,auto serviced
things he told me to check in no order

isc somtimes operates incorrectly when faulty
vac lines and vac leaks,crankcase leaks,tensioner leaks
pcv is often overlooked in service
worn engine and gearbox mounts, worn bump stops
worn brake pads, calipers,worn brake master cylinder or booster starving vaccum
cheap thermostats or unsuitable operating temp stat, heater tap
run with out a belt for short period to eliminate pumps power steering stuff
test sensors
critcal things can be head,gearbox or tourqe converter,major electrical loom or ecu issues
