Hey ive got a 2.5" lukey catbak system with 2 mufflers...

Excellent note... but not LOUD enough for me.

Ive heard that people drill holes in their muffler, etc and it makes it louder. can this be done? (as a temp fix until i replace rear muffler with straighthru piping).

don't6 go drilling intop your mufflers, instead have one of them removed and try with only one muffler! Or replace the second muffler with something less restrictive like a hot dog

yeah, deal with it till you can drop a muffler. i have only one and it is sweet.

and if you only just got it, it will take a couple of weeks to really open up. I was disappointed with mine at first, but now it is great!! :D

how loud is only 1 muffler?

within legal limits?

or would that require 2?

Depends on what muffler that one muffler is! And what cat converter you run.

Yeah I got my Lukey 2.5 about 3 months ago now.

I also had the same concerns about the db limit and I have been through many of booze buses and I have never been in any trouble, actually one cop said it sounded good hahaha.

I only have the centre sports muffler in and its a cat back system, and its has a very sweet note when driving around the city holding the revs at about 1200rpm, real 5 ltr ish.

Yet to get extractors but I think it will be too loud.

my old exhaust, 2.5" dont know what, was so loud it used to drone but i think that the muffler shop damaged my muffler!!

but yeah, one muffler will definately not be too loud, i have heard a car that only just passed the sound thing, and mine is no where near!! :)

Hey again! Just removed the Rear Lukey Muffler (keeping the front straigh thru Lukey) and replaced it with a Redback 2.5" Tailpipe.

SOUNDS EXCELLENT!

I'll post up some sound clips soon!
