I fitted some EL thermo's to my 351 clevo xd and they worked alright. I had some serious over heating problems, but the fans pretty much cleared it up. I had the fans bought new and a davies craig thermo switch. I had them running nearly all the time.

ok, Im a dumb noob with fords, but:
Does the EL thermo fan come with a thermatic switch I just wire into the ignition? (with a relay to avoid voltage drop ) or do I need to get meself a davies craig thermatic switch? And also what/were is the wire I use to connect these fans. If it comes complete with thermatic switch, I doubt I will have much trouble. Cheers

Well I have decided to bite the bullet and install the electric fans.
So I now need: Electric fan set from ef/el Davies craig thermo switch relay and wiring loom - where do I get this from, Davies Craig? Anything else I need to know?

You need Davies Craig kit 0404, which has the thermo switch, relay, fuse, some wiring and is about $70 from supercheap. You will also need another relay if you want them to come on with the A/C too (about $7 from supercheap).

Think ya hit the nail on the head there bozz. Doesnt really matter what kind of fan you use. If the cooling system is working properly both clutch and thermos should do their job on a hot day.
