when i rev my car it almost stalls and then always returns to steady idle..does anyone know what this means? is it the oxygen idle sensor? i can try cleaning it but just want to know im on the right track here..................
any suggestions?......

Has it been happening long? It sounds like a fuel problem. There could be a drop in fuel pressure because the fuel pump is faulty, or the fuel filter is blocked. Check the air filter to see if it's blocked. After that, I'd check the TFI module on the dizzy & swap the coil.

Have you replaced any of these parts in the past, or since you've had the car? And, have you go a repair manual?

nah havent replaced anything on it since i have had it, yea i have a haynes manual, is it covered in there?

Sorry, I've only got Gregory's & Max Ellery's manuals so I don't know. There are sections that cover troubleshooting & testing of different parts.

Give the idle control solenoid a clen out. It is located on top of the throttle body. Odds on thats causing your idle problems.

same thing happened to me, ended up been my ecu had to get a another one from the wreckers...

so if u got one spare or some one with same car change them over see if it fixes ya problem.

I had a similar problem with my ED and it turned out to be a faulty map sensor.
