Hi all, ive just finished putting an AU 4.0l in my XG ute, but it seems to rev slow and realy lack power untill about 2-3 grand then it takes off and revs fine, any ideas on what the hell is goin on?

Timing.... Sounds like it could be retarded...

Maybe cam timing unlikely though...
Is it a Log style manifold????

its an EL ECU, i was told i had to run it with the bbm

Ahhhh have you plummed the BBM correctly??? If the Manifold is on HIGH rpm mode it will be a bloody pig off the mark. and normal up high.

you need to run wires to the ECU to setup the manifold switching...

you will need the solenoid from an EL its behind the wiper washer bottle and you need all the piping to go with.

yeah i got the solenoide there and it seems to be switching the manifold open fine

any ideas???? ive tryd disconecting bbm but still does the same, ived tryd running the old xg ecu but still the same, any suggestions would be great
