i just put thermos in the EB but when its idleing in gear the volts drop right down to 12 volts the alternator is about a year old would a better power wire from the alternator help maintain the volts or are the mitsubishi alts better and the idle speed is normal too .

No Free Lunch With Power!

You could try a high amperage Battery and a bigger alternator.

Or even try to run power directly from the battery with large guage wire.

But either way at idle the volts'll prolly got to about 12-13 with the thermo's on and the other 20 acc's!

I just like the way the electrical oil guage pressure drops when the thermo's kick on but rev's maintain...

they all should be around 13.5-14.5ish volts.
however at idle they'll fetch 13+ with limited current.

EL alternators are 100AMP
EF alternators are 110AMP
