well my hose blew, didnt think it was that old but anyway, I cant seem to undo the clamp on the lwr radiator connection. Ive undone it enough for it to slip away from me when trying to undo it even more. The lines for the auxillery transmission cooler stop me from holding the clamp whilst undoing with screwdriver. If I undo the trans cooler hoses I'll get fluid everwhere. Whats the trick to get this clamp and hose off. To flush the system I'll have to take it off and refit a couple of times, and I cant even get it off once. Any help or comments appreciated.

Has the clamp got a hex head? then use a socket instead of a screw driver.
Sounds like you will need to get both hands down there to stop clamp moving while you undo it. Might have to remove fan shroud to get more room. Once clamp is off, twist hose to release its grip on tank outlet.

Thanks madmax, screwdriver will be easier(not) than socket I dont have. Can the fan shroud be removed without removing the clutch fan and if so how?

I think from memory you will need to remove the fan.
