Hey guys
i was under the hood of my car last night and noticed that there is a crack in the copper GAS line for the LPG (Lucky im not running on gas at the moment) I was wondering, if i break the copper tubing and Connect a rubber Heater Hose Tube to both ends of the copper Tubing and clamp them up will gas still run through the Rubber Tubing or will it burst? If it wont burst is it likely to frezze up? If someone could answer this question that would be much appreciated

Cars are not safety checked in Vic, at rego renewal as they are in NSW.

How close is the crack to the end of the line?
If it's close you can always cut and flare it again if you have enough to reach the lockoff. |

Its very close to the end of the line
i was originally gonna reflare it but the screwy bit that goes into the converter is all one piece so i cant take the cracked bit out, which was what lead me to the rubber hose trick if it`ll work that is Would i be better of getting a new screwy thing and then flaring it for the new one Sorry i havnt explained myself properly i just dont know what to call certain things

It can't be one piece though mate, i've never seen a setup like that before.
There will be a fitting that comes out the end of the lockoff, your line with the nut then screws onto that. They usually allow a bit of extra line so i don't see a problem if the crack is very close to the end of it. |
