If u smoke em on the black top and they c*m up single then it is 99% chance that it is not a LSD.

this is interesting. my diff has no tag on it. it will spin two in the wet and ocassionaly in the dry. but stand still and turn it will spin the inside wheel every time left if truned left and right if turned right.
must get this thing checked. ive heard that good LSD oil can even bring a s/s into duel territory. is this true. |

i'm pretty sure every car fitted with 3.45:1 gears also had the LSD center. in wich case your is an LSD, it's just a worn out one |

is ther any way ya can tell if it has worn out cos when i got my car the diff seem to be tight like it would grip really good taking of around a corner but now it tends to spin the inside wheel now when i take off if it is worn out how do i go about fixing and costs??

An EL Ghia, I believe it would of had an LSD in it. I think if you jack up both rear wheels, and put the car in neutral and take the hand brake off and spin the wheels, even a stuffed lsd will spin both wheels the same direction. if you put the car in gear and spin the wheel, if the other one spins the opposite direction you DO have a single spinner not an LSD. If you can't spin the wheels with the car in gear, or one wheel spins and not the other you have an LSD albiet a sad one.
