i heve a 3.23 lsd diff in my eb that i need rebuilt with new gears anyone know of a good shop in melbourne that will do a good job without costing a small fortune? or even a backyard job as long as its done good. any idea what im up for?

mate we have had this discussion over and over mate get up to speed will ya .

hahahahahahaha

take it apart and get the a** machined off the cones and shim it up to the max then it will never die. thinkin of doin that to mine

I got a 3:45:1 lsd and its only spinnin on one wheel, Could u give us a bit more detail or pics or summin on how to do wat u just sed??? cheers mate

from all the LSD's i've pulled apart, the bite is caused by the binding angles not the base of the cone!

I know a bloke in melton (western subs) He replaced my LSD for $150 and upgrade my gears from f**k 3.23's to almost new 3.45's for $350.

Talked him down $50 but dont say i said that!

If you want his number let me know,
PS he is a bit of a slack C*** so you will get your car back same day but allow an extra couple hours on top of wat he says. Sumthing always cums up with this dude. But he is half price.

I think he means when the sides of the cones wear, the base then stops the sides from contacting properly - thus no friction.
