Just ordered two Lukey mufflers for a mate and his dad, his dad go a 2 1/4" center to center ultra flow stainless steel (202 HZ), and my mate took a 2 1/2" center to center race muffler (race mufflers are made of stainless steel) for his 265 Valiant.

Anyways, after looking at the two, if your gunna get a Lukey muffler, go the stainless steel ultraflow over the race muffler. Much cleaner looking, has a shiny polished body (this thing reflects more than my bathroom mirror), slightly more expensive than the race one (but the standard ultra flow - which is not stainelss steel is cheaper). Besides that there is sweet fa difference between the two.
Otherwise get the standard ultraflow (cheaper than the race one), but the race ones are a waste of time, they are heavy duty construction, but they look messier and inside seems to be absolutely no different to the standard ultraflow.

Meh, well thats probally all well and true but the Lukey Race muffler lasts longer and is more durable and thats what i would rather have :) And the looks of the muffler is nothing, it sits under the car anyway, so i wouldnt be concerned about which looks better. Im happy with my Luckey Race muffler.

Just my opinion, not stiring the pot or anything :)

nah that's cool. as for lasting long, the ultra flow stainless steels last ages - the guy who built that 5 seater XC coupe fitted stainless steel exhaust system and stainless steel lukey ultraflow mufflers over 12 years ago, and they were still on it when it left my house.
and your right about the looks not mattering, but honestly, you need to see the finish on the Lukey stainless steel ultra flow, it's shinnyier than my chrome door handles, they really did put a fair bit of effort into it! all weld are neat as can be. if you can't tell i was extremely impressed that they put so much effort into a muffler that we payed $110 bucks for, we picked up the race muffler for $95.

IU coudln't tell you, working at Repco we get Lukey stuff dirt cheap (as were one of there main buyers) and I get it for not much more. Retails usually around 150 on the mufflers.

As for how to Lukey's sound on the Ford I6's, f**k awsome, I've compared with a few guys with Redbacks, and there's no way I'd buy anything but Lukey when it comes to the exhaust (extractors are another story though).

It's just that one of our mates has a lukey cat back, and theres like 3 of us with redbacks and yeah we all seem to agree the redbacks sound better. However, it probably just has whatever the stock lukey muffler is...

Wouldn't mind to hear one of these one's your talking about.
