my CVE cam is very lumpy, you need head work for it to be worth while though.

I get asked this many, many times, I want a lumpy cam for my car, I want it to sound fully sik !
The lumpiness in the cam is the intake and exhaust valves open at the same time, blowing intake out the exhaust. this results in major inefficiencies and low vacuum down low.
The benefit it up top it will result in more top end power providing the rest of the engine can flow what the cam wants to deliver.

So please understand you can't have it all, lumpy sounding cam, down low power and smoothness.

The CVE cams do have their own sound, but when set up with a good flowing cylinder head and intake and exhaust system, deliver some pretty good results.

Many people make the mistake of putting a big cam in ( so it sounds lumpy ) and a std flowing engine, so the engine can not deliver what the camshaft is requesting. this results in no low down power ( due to big cam ) and no top end power ( due to restrictive engine ).

This is a loose, loose situation.

A Map sensor tune can only fix it so much. A poorly built engine combo can't be tuned out.

This is only my personal opinion, I am sure others may think otherwise.
