Hey everyone...
I am kind of stuck at the moment with a spare power steering pump that I have pulled apart. I am putting in new seals so I can put the spare into use since my current in use one is dying and kind of leaking. Anyways I managed to pull it apart from the casing, when I pulled it off I found a round magnet in it but for the life of me, I am not sure where it sits...either at the location where I found it or somewhere else. I did give the unit a bit of a light wacking with a hammer to get the main pumping assembly away from the casing, so it may have jumped out of position... I assume the magnet is there to collect metal filings...since it had a heap of crap stuck to it. Any help appreciated Cheers Phong
