update

i spoke to the vendor tonight. and the response was
"im sick of f**k grinding" ****said with a laugh for those who think their job is worse and he shouldnt be b**ch about something so easy***

he is flat out on them he is a one man operation now he has been putting in a lot of hours and the first lot are about to go to the powder coaters, he asked what colour first so i told him whatever colour will be the quickest.

as you could imagine making 30+ of these is time consuming

thanks for your patience guys i will keep you all updated as thigs progress.

Darren

Can you guys at least ask how much they will charge to do a few V8 ones, theres a heap of v8 owners on here and the v8 intakes have the stupid bloody resonator thing which we all try and loose as its doesnt help n it looks shocking - they would certainly sell, easy as piss to make!

Any normal exhaust shop can hook you up one of these pretty cheap. They're not as much a pain to make as the I6 ones.

Grrrr 8-) Does it surprise anyone, black always comes last. Powder coater probably even has a segregated section so the blacks are no where near the reds...

that "stupid bloody resonator thing " is a air reserve not a muffler/resonator it is sposed to improve throttle response the same way as a larger inlet pipe would between the air cleaner and throttle body. the more reserve air the less that has to be drawn through the air cleaner when you boot it.
oh yeh back to the question,

the problem is that a prototype has to be made and then a jig made, this takes many hours/days of stuffing around . with 30 i6 one the cost is ofset against them . as far as a V8 goes i dont think there would be as much call.
