I turned my intake into an EL. I replaced the long EF intake rocker cover bolts with small ones. So I have an intake runner to T. body from an EL. Does this mean that with my new intake I have to put my EF bolts back on?

Just a note...Some EL owners will also need some 75mm hose to connect the intake to the throttle body.

Melbourne people: Try Purple Pig, they have hose to suit.

After all that, it's worth it.

I'll post up a pic hopefully by tomorrow night

Its arrived and fitted ye yah :D

For all those people that have an AU please take note there are a few problems you should be aware of

i. mounting holes on the TB pipe do not line up, I had to drill them bigger
2. the air box pipe bolt hole is out but after loosing the airbox and with some force it fits.
3. the TB pipe hits the bonnet in an unacceptable manner.
I think I will be able to fix this prblem by bending the mounting brackets upward which should lower the intake pipe sufficiently.
4. to fit the intake pipe to the trottle body you will need two 80mm clamps and a 5cm length of 75mm inside diametre flexable pipe.

Question ?
has any body else had this problem or am I just unlucky

The intake looks pretty cool and I hope it makes a small difference as a bonus.

Thanks for taking the time to manufacture these intakes , its appreciated. :)

Your not the only one with small problems. I too had small problems but the end result is a great reward for all concerned with this topic.

Thanks again to the boys at FTG

au1 or 2/3?

the au1 had basically an el motor, so it will most definately be different than the au2 one.

speaking of which, were the au1 vs au2/3 differences noted upon ordering/manufacturing?
