I'm looking at getting either an EL or AU xr6.
i am just not sure whether to get a manual or an auto, it's a bit extra cash for a manual as they are much more rare but is it the worth it? can anyone who has one tell me whether it was a good decision to get a manual? thanks

they are quicker.
All depends how you prefer to drive and if you can be bothered changing gears.

I'd get the manual, auto just gets wayy too boring

well yeah i don't care about having to chanhge gears all the time i don't have far to drive to work etc. so i'll really only be driving for fun.
what about a manual el xr8 are they a fair bit quicker or?

you need everyones opinion whether YOU prefer to drive a manual or auto?
I personally think auto's are absolute s**t and only belong in a hi-po dragster trying to shave a couple tenths of his PB Manuals are fun to drive, sap less power (at least with the eseries), and its good to pick what gear you want the car to be in, instead of an auto shifting to top gear everytime |

get a manual. enough said.
much funner to drive, they're quicker, make exhaust systems sound better (rather than a droning auto) xr6 or xr8 your choice, depends what you want, the 6 would probably be quicker

i got a manual ef xr8 and F**k i have not regretted it at all even after a clutch change and a f**k firewall haha

It's not an xr6 but I bought my el as an auto and had it converted to manual. My only regret is that I didn't buy a factory manual to start with, it's so much more enyoyable to drive and you can run bigger cams without having to get hi-stalls and low diff gears. Manual FTW.

Get the manual unless you're lazy. More fun, control, power, better resale, better fuel economy (driven properly) better to drift with. No comparison.

manual man im in the process of a manual conversion now
for example my ea has about 40 kw more at the engine than my other stock ea cfi with the 5sp and the stock 5spd ea keeps up to my modifed ea so go manual man
