I was wondering where the MAP sensor is on an XF ??

My car is running very rough and stalls when i take the foot off the accelerator. Its EFI 4.1 I was told by mechanic it could be Map sensor or the injectors, or temp. sensor
What does a map sensor do?

XF's dont have a MAP sensor, then have a MAF (old type). Its in the airbox.

The XF ( Carby only model) that was fitted with EST only, had a MAP sensor, not EFI models. They had a flap type airflow meter.
