yeh cracka600 i have run it without the rocker cover on and the oil seems to flow fine through the top of all the rocker arms
and also cheaked the injector by unpluging one at a time no change have no idear what to do next might try another rocker assembely anyone know if its still safe to drive thou |

just thought how many of you guys are running extractos
my daily (N12 Pulsar) was makeing a tappet sound i replaced the exhaust manifold gasket and its quiet might have to give it a go soon |

i uped my idle a bit the other day and now it seems quieter.
i also done the gasket with no change and good luck with the rocker change, let me know how ya go. i did two different rocker assembles and then changed them all around (the arms) with no change in both , so i hope you have better luck than me |

Yeh mine goes quiet at about 60kmp at around 2000rpm

If it goes quiet at the higher revs like you say, it may well be an oil pressure issue.

The main reason i pulled the engine out was because of oil pressure (had some silicone blocking the hole to the tensonor so it had massive chain slap) thats now fixed ail pressere guage seems to be reading around 3/4 of the way up the guage

Ok guys got an update ITS FIXED all i did was take it for a drive Round 20ks and let it sit for the week
im gonna take it to work tommorow and well see how it goes after that |

ok took it to work today and its still ticking im an apprentice mechanic so i took it to work and had some of the more senior tecs take a look out it we have narrowed it down to No6 inlet lifter and they said since i had replaced the lash adjuster 3 times it more tahn likely oil pressure so im gonna grab a guage and see how it turns out

Make sure when you get new lifters you get the retainer fitted to the lifter as the old one disintegrate in the rocker and the lifter can make noise from in the rocker by having a little extra clearance. Maybe a silly reply but are all the shims back in on top of the lifter too?
