Jim Mock Motorsports do purpose built race i6's for Falcons and they get not much more than 200rwkw from NA Falcon motors. 200rwkw is a hell of a lot of grunt but still short of 300rwhp...
The only way would could get 300rwhp from a Falcon i6 is with a turbo or supercharger... Even with completely rebuilt engines and running VERY high boost, 600ish rwhp is the maximum I've ever seen out of a i6. That was Pyroay's...

they are street engines tho...
the racing i6's are pushing out 300kw's

No... the DEV5-SS kit is good for around 175rwkw and is recommended for track AND street use.
You can get UP TO 200rwkw from there DEV6-R kit which are "Custom Order and are for Competition use." Straight from their site... I know their figures are fairly modest but where are you getting racing i6's pushing out 300kw's from?

or just run a stocko on jmm dyno hehe

i dont see why a i6 na cant reach 300hp, as long as its built stricltly for dyno runs its defently possible. remember peformance cams are made to increase your overall peformance. i can see a mild cam that kicks in at 4000rpm till about 7000rpm to go past the 200rwkw mark

theres a few speedway cars with au 4l in them that make ova 300rwhp in perth, but they are far from a street engine.

most ive herd from a forced induction 4l is 480rwkw or 650rwhp

You'll need one of two things (well, probably a combination of both):

1. 500Nm @ around 5000rpm
2. 450Nm @ around 6000rpm (translates to peak power at around 7000rpm with a redline of at least 7500rpm)

I wonder how many people will read this and fall out of their seat laughing......

i only base this on the fact that my ex had an EL with 160K on it and it recieved the dev 5 kit and made 190 kw on mocks dyno and was backed up by 2 other runs on dyno dinamics rollers and read 187 and 186 on those. the bottom end was stock on that. i want somthing that will only come out 1 day a week so drivability wont really be an issue

they key to it when it come to cams, would be to NOT USE AN OFF THE SHELF CAM.

they key to getting the power would be to work out how much realistic air flow you are going to need from the head, then having some one port as many heads as it take to come up with a port that gets the flow numbers you need.

Then designing an intake manifold the compliments the head.

Getting a cam designed and ground that compliment the head flow.

Getting some extractors and an exhaust system made that compliments the rest of the setup.

Having a bottom end built that will withstand 7000RPM

and being ready to pay $5P/L for for 120 octane unleaded fuel to run it on.
Because with the amount of compression you'd have to run would stop you from using anything els

then to get the car to use the power you are going to need a close ratio gearbox and at least a 4.4:1 diff ratio

OR
and with a 4000RPM stall torque converter and the same diff

NOW ask your self, Do you have a spare $25 000 to waste on a car you'll drive once a week??

I dont know why everyone bags out mockies dyno, its not just his that is generous, but any dyno dynamics dyno. sure it might read high but its a reliably consistant reading dyno. others you can run a 140 rwkw, then 10 mins later a 135, then ten mins later a 143.

I hear you get a better torque spread across the range when its tuned by jim and or brendan.

Dyno Dynamics in shootout mode = +5 generosity
Mocks dyno = +50 generosity.

Tuned with what

I've got no problems with JMM, I run one of their cams, and I've defended them as many times as I've bagged them out on here, but blind loyalty on either side of the argument is what s**t me.

i have seen a speedway car that puts out over 300rwhp...high compression, insane cam and headwork, forged internals, custom headers/exhaust etc and a s**t of balancing.

definately no way you could drive it on the road though

Ill let you know what sorta figures mine puts out in a month or so.....

im doing 10.5:1 Comp.
Big billet cam 230 at 50 Duration, about 540" of lift in and out..
Lots of porting about 1k worth.. on a 94DT head.

24psi injectors, Big pump.
Chiptorque
Comp headers, 3" zorst

With the stock inlet manifold i rekon im gonna be near 180rwkw... i see the inlet as being the restriction from getting up near 200rwkw..

I'd be keen to see how that donk goes, I'm building similar, 10 to 10.5 comp, custom grind cam, but only 0.500" lift, can't remember what the duration is at 0.050" but is 289 adv't'd. Sadly it is a way off yet.
