My troubles began when my ED 6cyl wouldn't start-like it was out of fuel..

A trip to a mech shop saw a new dizzy, coil ect..but no luck, then a auto elec who "knows smartlock" came and fixed it but won't say how he does it..Now, the problem is I have no ABS,tranmission PWR mode and the car runs like a thirsty dog...I remember that when the car wouldn't start initially that there was a small amount of smoke that came out close to the firewall, but not enough for me to see where it came from as I was inside the car at the time..

I believe that this could be the cause of my problems and is wondering if someone could reccomend a mechcanic or someone who knows these cars well enough to help me..I am over calamvale near sunnybank..

Many thanks in advance

It sounds like he has switched out your ecu for a non-smartlock ecu to get her going. It could be your smartlock module that is knackered and to get it going he just changed the ecu. Grab the ecu out and check the code on the database on this website. See how you go
