ok so if combustion temp is lower, more of the calarific value of the fuel can be made from heat to an explosion, hence power. how much we dont know.
but thats a f**k lot of spark being thrown out, im thinking the heat thrown from the sparks energy might have an effect on piston crowns and yes Slick, i have seen super lean engines and spark plugs. but how does a STOCK COMPUTER! allow a motor to run THAT LEAN in the first place? i'd say they might have used it as an example or something.

In my combustion chamber? Call the CFA! Could you explain yourself AT ALL, or are you going to keep making cryptic posts and putting other people down? What do u want explained??

Your theory on how these magic spark plugs work and why everyone else is wrong and you are right.

My theory???
How about you watch the video and read the article!

Don't forget we were only talking 40:1 AFR in theory so don't go thinking its been done & proven with the so call snake plugs.
If you look at the video, the test was conducted in a control environment, fired in a sealed nitrogen camber.

If you look at the video, the test was conducted in a control environment, fired in a sealed nitrogen camber. No....40:1 is NOT theory. Bob Krupa told me he has run 40:1 with these plugs......without any detonation.

How about you watch the video and read the article! The article is written from information posted by the inventor, its all advertising hype crap. No scientific proof, nor technical theory.....therefore useless. The video shows a much better spiraling spark (due to the plasma I assume) created by the plug........NOT that it will run at 40:1 or that it will make a huge power/economy difference..... Like I said, theory would say that its possible, but I'll wait for REAL proof.....like an independant laboratory taking an engine, tuning it to run as economically as possible and making maximum power with normal plugs...then change nothing but the plugs, run another dyno....then tune for maximum economy and power again, and run another dyno. I want real results....not some cooked up by mates of the inventor or the inventor himself. I can take a car, tune it pig rich and back the timing right off with stock plugs, then put different plugs in....lets say splitfires, and remove the pollution gear, lean it right out at cruise to say 17:1 and 15:1 under load (yes you read that right) and make heaps more power and get way better economy..... then of course I could claim it was the plugs that made the difference....anyone can fudge a before/after dyno graph with tuning and changing dyno sensor values. So like I said....I'm waiting for independant proof. Not your advertising crap. |

i imagine they would? unless the extra power makes the metal deteriorate or something?

I wonder if ATK Thiokol could use these in their rocket boosters, might save them using so much fuel, lower temps and lighter!
