Well i had to get rid of my rampod setup because Suncorp insurance were going to raise my excess by $400. So i put the $30 pod in the shed for another day( might mount in airbox later on?).

I put the 3in pod adaptor to good use, acting as a bellmouth in the EL airbox lid. Drove car about 5min ago and it does have the same throttle response as the rampod, just no loud roaring induction noise.

cheers Luke.

I can never understand why people go for pods. I've passed 180RWKW on a Naturally Aspirated 4L Falcon with a K&N Panel filter, stock intake plumbing and stock throttle body! :)

but people don't realise that an exposed pod in the engine bay will give your car LESS power (once the engine bay heats up).

Yeah that is why I put my pod in the original air box. I use the pod coz it has more surface area than a pannel. No real other advantages.

I am in total agreement. I had a pod under the bonnet, took it off infavour of standard airbox and K&N panel. The response has been significant!!!
