Hi all my head lights giving me the s**t because it looks like its got moisture in it or it just doesnt have that shiny new look. I was wondering what I can do to remove it and make it look like the new left hand side ones I have...or is it just general wear?
cheers, Nathan |

Is it moisture inside ... or are the lenses discolouring ... which is quite common for the EF/EL.
Got pics .... as this will discribe it better ... also reflectors fade overtime due to having globes in them that are of a higher power.

If its turning yellow, sand the headlight with some fine sand paper and then polish it up with cut-n-polish or similar.

The yellowing is on the outside - it happens to all the ef's at some point. Just put some tape on the panels around the lights so you dont damage them and start lightly sanding.

Toddy had the same problem with his EL. He used some plastic polish on them and they came up like new. Said it wasn't real hard work either. I sat down and drank while he worked
Then he sat down and drank while I used the same polish on the clear plastic over the instrument cluster on my EB. It had these funny looking run marks in it that I think were from letting armorall or such dry on it without being wiped off. Worked a treat there too.

yeah depending on how far gone they are a bit of plexus plastic polish should bring a noticeable improment. you can get it at most auto stores. just spray it on and rub it off with an old towel or something.
i also used a bit of autosol metal polish on mine and it got rid of some of the yellow aswell.
